DTF Printing

  • DTF, or Direct-to-Film printing, is a process where designs are printed onto a special film using inkjet printers and specialized inks, then transferred to fabric using heat and pressure. It's a versatile method that allows for vibrant, full-color designs on a variety of materials, including cotton, polyester, and blends.

    1. Printing the Design: A design is printed in reverse onto a special PET film using a DTF printer. This printer uses specialized inks and often includes a white ink layer for vibrant colors on darker fabrics.

    2. Applying Adhesive Powder: The printed film is then coated with a special adhesive powder.

    3. Transferring the Design: The film is heat-pressed onto the desired fabric (like t-shirts, hoodies, etc.). The heat and pressure activate the adhesive, transferring the design from the film to the fabric.

    • Versatility:

DTF can be used on a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, and blends, unlike DTG which is limited to cotton.

    • Durability:

DTF prints are known for their wash resistance and durability, making them suitable for apparel.

    • Vibrant Colors:

The use of specialized inks and white ink layers allows for bright, full-color designs.

    • Intricate Designs:

DTF printing can handle complex and detailed designs.
